| Two thumbs up for the guys for showing
up. Three thumbs down for the ladies. There were only one and half ladies
showed on last Saturday! Giang and Quye^n helped for half the day. Quye^n
took off later and returned with a car for washing and off again. Giang
spent her later half of the day flirting with DDa.t, who spent most of
his time doing the same thing (in the other direction, not with himself!).
The other Quye^n showed up with a car for washing. She got half a credit
for just showing up. Die^.p promised to show but there wasn't a sign of
her anywhere. The rest of the ladies didn't show. I knew some of you ladies
had to work but not all of you! Some gentlemen also brought some helpers along (abet very tiny ones). But they helped out a lot despite their sizes. Hie^.p (old member and current member of Co^.ng DDo^`ng VN at Charlotte) also showed up and helped us out by holding the BIG sign and attracted a lot of cars. I thought the fund raising was a success. A lot of cars got washed including mine <g>. I volunteered my car as the bate for hooking more cars. I couldn't believe they only washed 1/4 of the car when I had to park it to make room for the _real_ cars! It didn't get washing again until many, many hours later. I wished I didn't pay for it before hand! It was a pretty fun day. The weather was nice and hot which helped a lot. We got wet but did not freezed our you_know_what off. The cars got cleaned pretty well. There were one or two grumple customers but the rest were pretty nice and understanding. We raised more than $250 (we spent some on stuffs and foods). There were talks of doing it again next Saturday so you ladies can make up for last Saturday. |
